PyConZA 2019 Code of Conduct Transparency Report

The PyConZA Code of Conduct is a set of standards which governs interactions within our community during the course of the conference. This transparency report serves to inform our community of the incidents which were reported to the CoC committee this year, and how we responded.

This year a single incident was reported.

  • The single reported incident was related to a verbal presentation.

Resolutions

  • The incident was resolved post-conference.

Summary of reported incidents

  • A presenter briefly made a remark that could be construed as stereotyping a group of attendees. The remark was removed from the video of the talk with the presenter's permission. The presenter was asked to be more mindful of and refrain from such remarks when attending or participating in future Python community events.
